Apply in the municipality where at least one applicant resides in. If neither reside in NJ, then apply in the municipality the wedding ceremony will take place.

A written request is made to the Registrar, stating the applicants names as they appear on the license, and stating the date of the marriage. There is a $20 fee per certified copy.
